They just can’t wrap their heads around why he won’t stay silent, even years after stepping away from royal duties.
According to US Weekly, there’s no plan from Kate’s side to extend an olive branch to Harry. She appears not to be interested in any peace talks, instead firmly backing her husband. That unity between the Prince and Princess of Wales is clear, especially as they continue to keep their distance from the ongoing drama.
Kinsey Schofield, host of the To Di For Daily podcast, shared more insights with Fox News Digital, saying the issue runs far deeper than any headlines or media chatter. “Catherine has been nothing but supportive of her husband – and that’s exactly why Prince William is so deeply hurt,” she explained.
Schofield went on to say that it’s not the constant public criticisms or bombshell revelations that sting the most for William. It’s Harry’s behaviour toward Kate that’s left a lasting scar. “His pain doesn’t come from personal insults or headlines. It comes from his instinct to protect the woman he loves… But what cuts the deepest is Harry’s treatment of Catherine. She’s always loved him, always treated him like a little brother. That’s the betrayal William won’t forget… But Harry never seems to think about the consequences.”
The frustration from William and Kate only seems to grow each time Harry speaks out publicly, often reigniting tension that the rest of the family seems keen to leave behind. While the Duke of Sussex has been vocal about his struggles with royal life, his continued criticisms haven’t helped repair any family rifts.
Harry’s latest public comments came after his legal battle over security in the UK came to an end. Speaking to BBC America, he addressed the court’s decision to uphold the removal of his high-level police protection while in the UK – a fight he’d taken to the High Court.
Back in February 2023, Judge Sir Peter Lane ruled that the original decision by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) was justified. Harry appealed, but in May this year, that appeal was firmly rejected. Senior judges Sir Geoffrey Vos, Lord Justice Bean, and Lord Justice Edis upheld the previous ruling.
Sir Geoffrey Vos acknowledged that Harry had presented a “powerful and moving” argument, but in the end, it wasn’t enough. “I could not say that the Duke’s sense of grievance translated into a legal argument for the challenge to Ravec’s decision,” he concluded.
Despite the legal setbacks and strained family ties, Harry continues to speak out, which seems to only deepen the rift with his brother and sister-in-law. For William and Kate, the issue isn’t just about public perception or royal protocol – it’s personal. And for now, any sign of reconciliation appears to be well off the table.
