The council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) named 31 new designers to be admitted into their group. The designers included the expected favorites like Alexander Wang, Chris Benz, Jason Wu, Maria Pinto and some unexpected like Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen. The fashion forward sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have been inducted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
The twins ,Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have been recognized for their contribution to American fashion through their labels ‘The Row’ (named after Saville Row in London) _their polished, tailored collection of luxe wardrobe staples and ‘Elizabeth and James’ their directional, mid-range brand, named after their younger brother and sister.
The Olsen twins and designers will be welcomed with an intimate dinner at Manhattan’s Four Seasons restaurant on October 21 and will receive their accolade from the CFDA President who is the renowned fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg.
