Tilda Swinton will be the star of a Katerina Jebb-directed short movie to be shown during a performance at the upcoming French contemporary arts event Festival d’Automne à Paris (Paris Fall Festival).

British-born Paris-based photographer and artist Jebb is known for her unconventional works and has previously teamed up with fashion houses including Comme des Garçons and Givenchy for various artistic projects.

The short film was made during rehearsals for renowned fashion historian Olivier Saillard‘s latest fashion performance with Swinton, "The Impossible Wardrobe." Saillard is currently director of Galliera, the Paris Museum of Fashion, which is the setting for the short film. Jebb’s film will be screened on a loop from September 29 to October 1 at the Paris Fall Festival, which will take place at the city’s Palais de Tokyo.

In the film, titled "The Future Will Last a Very Long Time," Swinton can be seen moving about the Musée Galliera‘s clinical storerooms holding historic archive garments while dressed in a white lab coat accessorized with white gloves and high heels. Items she unearths include a coat by Madeleine Vionnet that once belonged to American writer Natalie Clifford Barney.
