She’s dipping her toe into boyfriend Jason Statham’s world with a new high-profile acting part. But Rosie Huntington-Whiteley didn’t need any help taking up the spotlight on Thursday night as she premiered Mad Max: Fury Road with her co-stars in Hollywood.
The blonde bombshell, 28, looked sensational in a beaded and sequinned dress that cut high on the thigh to reveal her incredible model pins. Strutting the red carpet in a pair of towering Louboutins, the model-turned-actress was a sight to behold on Thursday.
Rosie is usually the supporting act at a red carpet premiere, since her boyfriend of five years has been the star of Fast & Furious 7 and The Expendables 3, even just in the last year. Since building a modelling empire, Mad Max is only Rosie’s second acting part, her first being in Transformers: Dark Of The Moon.
This time, Rosie takes up her second acting role as Splendid when the famous movie franchise returns with Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy at the helm.
Rosie is in sterling acting company in the new movie and shared the red carpet with young talent Zoe Kravitz and Riley Keough, though X-Men star Nicholas Hoult was not present.
Rosie’s role, filmed in Namibia, sees her shed her trademark polished looks for something grungier as she takes on a dirty desert persona. She recently talked about her character with men’s magazine, Esquire, revealing: ‘I’m pregnant in the film, which you see in the opening scene, and so I had the prosthetic belly everyday, and I also had scars on my face that needed to be applied every morning.
‘All of us had the Immortan Joe’s branding on the back of our necks. And I had scars all over my arm, representation of my character’s conflict.
‘I decided early on in the rehearsal period and in the period where we discovered who our characters were that my character’s torment was taken out through cutting herself. That was something I wanted to explore through these scars that she had on her arm.’
