Rihanna has found herself embroiled in a naked photo scandal after salacious snaps allegedly showing the singer in a series of provocative poses were leaked online.
Seven photos purportedly of Rihanna flashed up online on Saturday, days after topless pictures of R’n’B starlet Cassie Ventura – P Diddy’s new love – were also leaked on the net.
One of the raunchy snaps shows a scantily-clad woman, resembling Rihanna, in black underwear and white robe posing in front of a mirror. The mirror has the message: "I love you, Robyn. I miss you scrawled on it. Rihanna’s real name is Robyn Fenty.
The woman in that photo bares a striking resemblance to the Umbrella singer, but the subject’s face is covered by a camera, making it impossible to make a positive ID.
Four of the nude shots in circulation do not show the woman’s face, only her naked body, backside and naughty bits – which makes us, question the authenticity of the shots altogether. Another snap shows a shirtless man – who bares an uncanny resemblance to her ex Chris Brown – with what appear to be a pair of pink knickers on his head. As you do.
Snitches reveal that the saucy snaps first emerged on a certain image sharing website and almost sent it crashing as legions of fans logged on to witness the flesh flashing. All of the photos appear to have been self-taken and shot in the same location – rumoured to be at a West Hollywood hotel.
Bury the scandal Rihanna’s record company has already responded to the photo leak and issued a warning letter to at least one website which published the snaps. According to TMZ.com, lawyers at Island Def Jam Music Group fired the letter which refers to "unauthorized photos purported to be…Rihanna," and calls the photos a violation of "the Artist’s rights" and should be removed immediately. But they haven’t questioned the authenticity of the snaps, nor have they confirmed or denied if it’s really Rihanna.
