Prabal Gurung will launch a collection for US high street chain Target on February 10 2013, just in time for Valentine’s Day. The 80-piece range includes clothes, bags, jewellery and shoes – all of which are inspired by love.
"My own collection is also inspired by the idea of emotion and all of those things," Gurung told US Vogue. "Since this is coming out in February, I thought it was the perfect fit."
The offering features the New York-based designer’s signature prints and graphic details, with prices starting at $19.99 (£12.00), for a T-shirt and stretching to $199.99 (£124.00), for a leather jacket. The brand has not only impressed the fashion pack over recent seasons, but also the Duchess of Cambridge – who was spotted wearing a purple printed dress from the label’s autumn/winter 2011-12 collection during her royal tour of Asia in September.
Other designers to have previously teamed up with Target include Missoni, Proenza Schouler and Rodarte.
