They’ve traded harsh words with one another in recent weeks. And the row between Nicole Trunfio and Naomi Campbell shows no sign of slowing down.
The Australian model has again dished on the industry legend’s nasty behaviour during their time on The Face Australia. Trunfio, 28, has admitted it was a ‘tough’ experience, telling the new issue of Australia’s TV Week magazine: ‘She continued to break me down every single day.’
The two were judges on the show alongside Cheyenne Tozzi, but Trunfio said that Campbell, 43, was ‘more and more of a bully every episode’ but that she was able to ‘rise above it all.’ ‘I tried to handle it as diplomatically as possible, I would never say anything like the things she was saying to me. It was crazy.’
But the British beauty insisted to Kyle & Jackie O that the bad blood began with Trunfio, who she claimed was ‘disrespectful’ and said Campbell ‘wasn’t a model of now.’ Trunfio previously mocked Campbell at the ASTRA Awards last month, declining to comment on working with the icon because she ‘isn’t here to defend herself’ before parodying her on-stage.
Despite the fireworks between Campbell and Trunfio, the veteran model got along just fine with 25-year-old Tozzi. The newly announced Nike She Runs ambassador told the Daily Telegraph Campbell is ‘a really good woman’ and that they speak everyday, even after the show has wrapped.
After filming The Face Australia with legendary Campbell, Trunfio had another lardmark moment in her career when she posed for the 50th anniversary edition of the Pirelli Calendar. ‘Pirelli is the most prestigious campaign you can do, so I was definitely honoured to be asked,’ the she told the MailOnline.
Her involvement puts her alongside names like Cindy Crawford, Miranda Kerr and, a little ironically, Naomi Campbell herself.
