Lea Michele, 28, was wearing a suspicious looking ring as she was pictured heading into Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Jan. 21. And while a source tells HollywoodLife that she’s not currently engaged to boyfriend Matthew Paetz, 29, we learned when he’ll likely propose!
“Lea’s not engaged, but it seems like Matthew is the one. It will happen between the two, but Lea is adamant that nothing like that happens until Glee is officially over. She wants to fully move on from the show, have it end and then she would start considering engagement and marriage. She thinks that getting engaged while still on Glee would be a slap in the face to Cory Monteith. There is still to much emotion around set to have her think otherwise,” a source tells HollywoodLife.
This is so bittersweet. While we love the idea of Lea marrying Matthew, we can’t deny we miss Cory. It’s so touching that Lea wants to wait until the time feels right, when Glee fans fully grieve the death of the beloved actor, who was also her longtime boyfriend.
As HollywoodLife previously reported, Lea was spotted wearing a gold ring with a black center on Jan. 21.
While she’s been hot and heavy with Matthew, a source close to the actress says any rumors claiming she’s engaged are “not true.”
However, we’re just super happy that Lea feels like Matthew is “the one.” (Swoon!)
