Lanvin is planning to step into the vibrant eyewear business, signing a worldwide license agreement with Italy’s De Rigo Vision SpA.
Lanvin is gearing up for full design, production and worldwide distribution of sunglasses and prescription frames, with the first deliveries expected in December.
There were some flashes of glamour eyewear collection alongside Lanvin’s resort collection, but the full line is to be presented in its showrooms in October.
De Rigo, which has three house brands: Police, Sting and Lozza, has previously licensed agreement with brands including Givenchy, Loewe, Ermenegildo Zegna, Celine, Escada, Blumarine and Carolina Herrera. Besides, the company also controls the optical retailers General Optica in Spain and Portugal; Opmar Optik in Turkey; and Boots Opticians in the U.K.
