LADY GAGA has shown off her David Bowie tattoo again, days after paying tribute to him at the Grammy Awards. The singer – who performed at the ceremony on Monday in memory of the Starman rocker – has made it obvious just how highly she thought of the iconic musician.
Gaga’s latest ink was visible as she stepped out of her hotel in New York City and headed to an event in her honour at the Rainbow Room wearing a curve-hugging black dress that revealed the design on her left ribcage.
The design is a recreation of Bowie’s iconic Aladdin Sane album art, which was a big influence for the Applause star. She captioned a video showing off the tattoo: "This was the image that changed my life".
Gaga performed at the Grammy Awards in memory of the legendary singer, with bright wigs, face paint, and some outrageous outfits.
She received huge applause from the crowd, and has since been showered with praise for her tribute – but not everyone seemed blown away.
Bowie’s son Duncan Jones appeared to throw shade at the singer just hours later , as he shared the Oxford English dictionary definition of the word "Gaga" – and it didn’t exactly come across as a glowing compliment.
Posting a cryptic tweet, almost hinting that her performance was too much, he wrote: "’Overexcited or irrational, typically as a result of infatuation or excessive enthusiasm; mentally confused.’ Damn it! What IS that word!?"
