Nikki Reed turned heads when she showed off a stunning sparkler at a Golden Globes party, making people think that Ian Somerhalder asked her to marry him. Though no official announcement has been made, Ian’s sweet New Year’s pic on Instagram about the future seems clearly directed at Nikki!
Nikki, 26, has been divorced for barely a month, yet her and Ian, 36, are head over heels for each other. We know these two lovebirds have been going strong for awhile, unable to keep their hands off each other!
So when Ian posted an adorable Instagram pic on Jan. 8 of him and Nikki with his dogs, he also seemed to be hinting about his great future with Nikki. The Vampire Diaries star wrote:

Ian is such a romantic! Not only is this the most adorable picture of the beautiful couple in the sunlight, but the fact that he posted a pic with her while talking about the future seems as if they’ve already made a big commitment to each other.
Ian reportedly popped the question over the holidays. However, the couple haven’t officially gone public with the big news just yet. Perhaps they don’t have to though, since Nikki’s diamond ring does all the talking!
“Nikki said she wears the ring on her right hand because they want to keep it quiet for now. They mentioned a June date, they are really excited,” a source tells InTouch.
