Gwyneth Paltrow takes fashion advice from her daughter.
The ‘Country Strong’ star – who topped the best-dressed lists with her Tom Ford cape dress at Sunday night’s (26.02.12) Oscars – admits seven-year-old Apple’s opinion counts for a lot when it comes to dressing for the red carpet.
She said:
"My daughter loves a fashion moment. She weighs in very heavily."
Talking about the unusual gown choice, Gwyneth – who also has son Moses, five, with her Coldplay husband Chris Martin – says she was inspired by a similar outfit worn by America’s former First Lady, Jackie Onassis.
The 39-year-old actress told American talk show ‘The Chew’: "I tried on one dress. That was the dress and I thought, ‘it’s a little different but it’s sort of a throwback’.
"I saw a pic of Jackie O in a white dress with a cape and it’s been a while since anyone’s worn a cape, frankly, except for Superman."
According to People Magazine, Jackie designed the ensemble in question herself for husband John F. Kennedy’s inaugural ball in 1961.
