The 16 year old daughter of chief executive officer and vice chairman Paul Marciano, Ella has designed a T-shirt to benefit the charity Sojourn Services for Battered Women and their children.
The high school junior Ella, who visited Sojourn’s shelters last summer with her mother has designed a white tank top printed with a purple heart formed by the words: hope, love, courage, strength, community and empower.
“I started thinking about words that were powerful, that could send a message,” said Ella adding, “All the words are shaped like a heart, which is the symbol of love, which I think is great. At the same time, the design had to appeal to the Guess girl…Even if someone doesn’t know this cause, they’d buy this shirt because it’s an attractive shirt.”
The teen girl further said, “I would love to make charitable items for Guess,” she said. “It’s something I want to do in the future.”
