Estée Lauder and Opening Ceremony founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim have collaborated to dress 15,000 beauty advisors worldwide. While keeping the brand’s heritage in mind, the navy, off –white and jacquard 14-piece wardrobe is designed for both men and women. “We really wanted to communicate the quality, the prestige and everything that you associate with the brand,” says Lim. “Something classic, timeless, really fresh and modern.” On Saturday, the uniforms will debut with Estée Lauder’s new flagship counter at Macy’s Herald Square. “It communicates the brand and it communicates the future,” says Richard Ferretti, senior vice president, global creative director at Estée Lauder. “Everybody deserves to wear something pretty spectacular and now they will be.” On September 8, Estée Lauder, and creative makeup director Tom Pecheux will team up with Opening Ceremony for its first New York Fashion Week show. Estée Lauder will also sponsor nails with nail artist Naomi Yasuda. What to expect of the collection? “It’s our way to [showcase] what the brand means,” say Lim. “It’s the same girl, but she’s kind of grown up and become a little more modern.”
