Deadmau5 and Kat Von D have got engaged. The Canadian DJ proposed to the tattoo artist – who he split from in November after a two-month romance – on Twitter on Saturday (15.12.12) and the brunette beauty said yes.
Deadmau5 – whose real name is Joel Zimmerman – tweeted: "I can’t wait for Christmas so…. Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me?" The tweet was accompanied by a picture of a diamond ring flanked by two skulls, with text on the image explaining that the musician planned to get the stone switched.
He wrote: "Changing the diamond for a black diamond FYI. Sorry for the jpg… they’ll finish the actual ring soon I hope. I love you. (sic)" Kat replied with a series of exclamation marks, prompting her new fiance to write: "Holy f***ing s**t. im engaged and stuff! (sic)"
Kat – who was previously engaged to Sandra Bullock’s ex-husband Jesse James – and Deadmau5 then thanked fans for their well-wishes. Kat wrote: "Mi corazon!!! Thank you all for the lovely congratulations. Please excuse me while I go squeeze the hell out of my fiance!" Deadmau5 added: "Thanks for the well wishes and support from the horde and everyone else!
