Clint Eastwood’s model daughter has sparked public outrage after burning a pricey Hermes bag on a photoshoot. Francesca Eastwood used a chainsaw to destroy one of the label’s luxury Birkin models before setting fire to the expensive design, the New York Post reports.
The 19-year-old was shooting with her photographer boyfriend Tyler Shields, who is known for his shocking statement imagery. However, the butchering of the $100,000 red crocodile bag has sparked outrage from fashion followers and resulted in a barrage of abuse including death threats.
"Burning a $100K purse is not art. It’s self-indulgent, wasteful, lazy, showing off," one person wrote on Twitter according to the US publication, while another added, "could have used a cheap Kmart bag. Instead, waste money that could have fed hundreds. Spoiled and clueless. Try working 4 REAL (sic)."
Francesca is said to be surprised by the level of dismay the photoshoot has generated. According to American website TMZ, the teenager bemoaned the fact that people simply don’t understand art. Photographer Shields is famous for his controversial pictures and has previously shot the likes of heiress Tamara Ecclestone ironing money and actress Emma Roberts catching a Barbie doll snorting cocaine.
