MOTHER’S DAY STARS: With Mother’s Day around the corner, Gucci’s Chime for Change campaign supporters including Blake Lively, Ziggy Marley, Cameron Diaz and Olivia Wilde took part in a special video to share what they admire about their mothers. “Somehow, she would have a thousand balls up in the air at one time and be able to catch all of them,” revealed Diaz in the video released today, while Chime for Change co-founder and artistic director Beyoncé Knowles said: “Her gift is finding the best qualities in every human being.” As a banner flashed the words “Happy Mother’s Day — To all the moms who inspire us,” and “This Mother’s Day, I chime for you,” viewers were invited to visit Chime for Change online and participate in the campaign.
Gucci established Chime for Change in February, and momentum has been building for the June 1 The Sound of Change Live concert in London, with performances by a plethora of artists including Knowles, Jennifer Lopez and Florence & The Machine. Ticket sales will support women and girls’ education, health and equality internationally.
