The world is heartbroken right now for Hollywood’s power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are officially parting ways. That’s right! Angelina Jolie has already filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences and has also asked the court for physical custody of their six children, restricting Brad Pitt only for visitation. If the reports are anything to go by, the pair separated on September 15, ending their 10 years courtship and 2 years of marriage. While Brad Pitt in interaction with CNN said, “I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well being of our kids.I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.
Angelina Jolie’s camp too is focused on the children as one of her associate asserted, This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting at this time, and asks that the family be given their privacy during this difficult time.” Well, we still can’t believe this is really happening! No Brangelina anymore! Soon Angelina Jolie confirmed she’s pregnant three months after Pitt’s divorce to Aniston. A judge granted a request to change Zahara’s and Jolie’s previously adopted son Maddox’s surnames to JoliePitt. Following which, Pitt’s legal adoptions of the kids too was finalised. Not to forget, Jolie and Pitt’s first biological child, Shiloh was born in Namibia whose pictures were then sold for $4.1 and $3.5 million to People and OK magazines.
2007
More kids in the family as the couple adopted three-year-old Pax from Vietnam. But as the country didn’t allow unmarried couples to adopt, Jolie referred herself as a single parent and later legally changed his surname to Jolie-Pitt.
2008
This year we got see a pregnant Angelina attending the Kung Fu Panda premiere in Cannes with Pitt where her co-star Jack Black too had revealed that Jolie was expecting twins. Quite an apt prediction for she soon delivered twins – Knox and Vivienne in France. Again, Brangelina sold their babies’ pictures to People and Hello! for $14 million with proceeds going to their charity, The Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
2014
After 10 years of courtship and self realisation that they can make great parents, Pitt and Jolie finally got married in Correns, France in a nondenominational civil ceremony. Maddox and Pax walked Jolie down the aisle, Zahara and Vivienne acted as flower girls while Shiloh and Knox were the adorable ring bearers. Well, Brangelina proved to be nothing short of an epitome of unconditional love but guess not everyone has a happily ever after….
