Ada + Nik, a collection described as "Greco-Roman Punk inspired," is to debut during the shows in June. The 10-piece capsule line is a collaboration between women’s wear designer Ada Zanditon and Nik Thakkar, a London-based brand strategist specialized in content creation and publicity. Calling Thakkar "one of the most stylish men I know," Zanditon said he exemplifies her design mission of "bold, sexy, fearless elegance."
Ethically sourced and produced, the collection includes a statement leather jacket, shorts, kilts and swimwear, employing such unusual materials as eel skin, bamboo and human hair. The partners plan to tap directors to create fashion films around the nascent brand.
There are about 60 shows, presentations and events on the London calendar for June 16 to 18, with Burberry, Jimmy Choo, Rag & Bone, and Pringle of Scotland also among new additions.
